Sam Clark leads the openVA Team. Sam is a demographer, epidemiologist, and data scientist at The Ohio State University. He works on developing new methods and data resources for demography and epidemiology.
Zehang (Richard) Li is a statistician at the University of California, Santa Cruz. He is a specialist in statistical/computational algorithms to automate cause classification using verbal autopsy data. He also works on estimation of under five mortality rates from complex survey data and models to characterize excess deaths.
Jason Thomas is a research scientist and software developer at The Ohio State University. He writes, maintains, and supports much of the software produced by the openVA Team.
Clarissa Surek-Clark is a lecturer and research scientist at The Ohio State University. She has specific expertise in the verbal autopsy interview and maintains openVA Team collaborations.
Yue Chu is a postdoc at The Ohio State University. She has specific expertise in machine learning and artificial intelligence approaches to cause classification using verbal autopsy data.
Tyler McCormick is a statistician at the University of Washington. He is a specialist in statistical/computational algorithms to automate cause classification using verbal autopsy data, network methods, algorithm calibration, and many other things.
Zhenke Wu is a statistician at the University of Michigan. He works on statistical/computation algorithms for cause classification using verbal autopsy data and a variety of machine learning and artificial intelligence projects for health care.

Isaac Lyatuu is a public health scientist and software developer who has worked on a number of health related projects in Tanzania. He has developed the VMan system for managing verbal autopsy interviews and displaying information and results in a dashboard.
Collins Ochieng is a software developer and data scientist who has worked on a number of health-related projects in Kenya and Zambia. He has led digital health systems integrations and contributed to improvement of various CRVS and Health systems through developing systems and dashboards that enhance data analysis and data use including Verbal Autopsy data.
Nicole Angotti is a demographer and sociologist at American University. She has a lot of direct experience in the field collecting data and specific expertise in how interviewers and the interview setup affect the data that are collected, among many other things.
Brian Houle is a demographer and sociologist at the Australia National University. He works on mortality and life span (in)equality, among other things. He has specific expertise in how interviewers and the interview setup affect the data that are collected.
